Cabooses

Give your members the experience of staying in one of three CN steel cabooses filled with bunk beds. Make it a Theme Camp! Two cabooses accommodate twelve campers each, the third holds ten for a total of thirty-four people. Campers are advised to bring their own sleeping pads.

Adjacent to the cabooses is a kitchen/dining hall. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, a microwave oven, and a refrigerator. Groups are advised to bring their own pots and pans and dishes.

A field is available for wide games; a small hill provides sledding opportunities in winter. Surrounded by a hardwood forest and pine plantations with plenty of footpaths, this location is excellent for hikes and stalking games. Many youth have experienced their first winter sleep-out here since the option of moving into either the dining hall or a caboose gives them the confidence to try their winter camping skills.

Vault toilets; hot and cold running water in the dining hall.

Garbage is to be taken home with you.

Visit The Cabooses Photos to see some pictures of the location and surrounding area.
